At UERM Medical Center, we know how hospital visits can be challenging. Our Admitting Section is here to ensure that your admission is handled with care, efficiency, and compassion. Whether you’re scheduled for a procedure or arriving for emergency care, we are ready to assist you.
Patients with scheduled procedures or surgeries are advised to confirm their appointment at least 24 hours before admission. Pre-admission clearance may be required from your attending physician.
Patients are required to make an initial deposit based on their admission type (elective, emergency, or surgical). Outstanding hospital bills must be settled promptly to avoid delays in procedures or inconvenience.
If the patient is a PhilHealth member upon admission, they may proceed directly to Window 1 of the Billing Section to complete the necessary requirements and request tagging if they are a senior citizen.
The appropriate and fully signed PhilHealth forms should be submitted to the PhilHealth Section located on the Ground Floor of the Pay Hospital Building prior to discharge.
A valid HMO ID card and authorization for elective admission must be presented. If a Letter of Authorization (LOA) is not submitted within 24 hours after admission, the patient will be responsible for covering hospital charges.
If hospital charges exceed the HMO benefit threshold, the patient or their responsible party shall bear the additional costs, including excess room and board fees.
The patient may contact their HMO provider for any inquiries or clarifications.

Senior Citizen/Person with Disability (PWD) Discount
To avail of the senior citizen or PWD discount, patients must present a valid Senior Citizen ID or PWD ID upon admission. This ensures they receive the mandated benefits and discounts on hospital charges. The 20% discount is computed based on the lowest room rate. Failure to present the required ID may result in the forfeiture of the discount privileges.
To avail of your HMO benefits you must present your card and letter of authorization, if your admission is elective. In order to avoid confusion and inconvenience, please be aware of the limits of your plan. If you have any questions, please contact your HMO provider. In case of an emergency admission, please inform your HMO at the soonest time possible.
