The DFCM offers clinical exposure to different sub-specialty disciplines for its residents, including: (1) Supportive Hospice and Palliative Medicine, (2) Toxicology), (3) Geriatrics and Gerontology, (4) Primary Care Diabetology, and (5) Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine.
One of the newest services of UERM is the Supportive Hospice and Palliative Medicine (SHPM). The SHPM service is committed to providing compassionate support for patients facing serious illnesses and their families. We focus on enhancing quality of life through comprehensive care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This is a specialized approach to care geared towards giving comfort and achieving the best quality of life possible to individuals with serious life- limiting illnesses and their families
